REST IN PIECE CHRIS ” MAC DADDY” KELLY 1978-2013


Chris Kelly, known as one half of the 1990s US rap duo Kris Kross, has died at the age of 34 in what police say may have been a drug overdose.Police were called to Kelly’s home in south Atlanta at around 4:30pm (local time) on Wednesday.He was taken to the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Centre and pronounced dead around 5pm.Corporal Kay Lester of the Fulton County police said “it appears it may have been a possible drug overdose”.A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out to establish an official cause of death.His mother, Donna Kelly Pratte, told police her son had taken cocaine and heroin before he died, and that he had a history of drug abuse.For more information please go to News Sky

Kris Kross was an American rap duo of the 1990s comprising Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith. The duo was best known for their hit 1992 song “Jump“, which was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and certified double platinum as a single. Kris Kross was also noted for their fashion style, which consisted of wearing their clothing backwards. The duo sang the “Rugrats Rap” for Nickelodeon, which was released as an extra on some Nickelodeon VHS tapes starting in 1994 and was finally released on CD on The Best of Nicktoons in 1998, and as an extra on the Rugrats: Decade in Diapers Collectors Edition DVD in 2002.Wikipedia
